Our goal each day is to ensure your child gets to and from school safely. During the winter months we know many more students are driven to and from school making arrival and dismissal a much busier time in our parking lot. In order to keep everyone safe please see the below reminders.
Arrival: In order to make drop off as quick as possible and avoid the block-and-a-half back-ups.
- Please make sure to pull up in line.
- Please do not block the intersection at Beech and Hickory.
- If possible, have your child have their backpack on their lap. Then, they can unbuckle and get out of the car.
- Parents, should not get out of their cars. Staff member can assist as needed.
- If you choose to walk your child to school, please park on Beech, Hickory or Sumac (please follow posted signs).
Dismissal:
- Children should not be walking through the parking lot unaccompanied.
- Use the crosswalk both in the parking lot and the surrounding streets. Please do not cut between the buses or cross without the crossing guards assistance.
Avoid making a 3-point turn on Beech as this causes backups.
