New this year we will be hosting a Back to School Picnic and Supply Drop off with our PTA! Families are invited to stop by Dirksen between 4:00 and 6:00 on Tuesday, August 12 to drop off supplies, visit their classrooms and enjoy dinner with the community.
Kindergarten families are encouraged to come out to this event, even though you will not find out your teacher assignments until the 19th. Students and families can still see all of the classrooms and drop off your supplies, they will be moved to the correct rooms once class lists are created.
This event will replace the “This Is Dirksen”/Curriculum Night that typically took place at the end of August. Teachers will have information packets ready to share with families about classroom schedules, expectations and everything else you need to know about the upcoming year.
