As the weather has turned colder, we want to remind you of the importance of outdoor recess for our students. Fresh air and physical activity are essential for children’s well-being and help improve focus and overall health. While we understand concerns about the cold, it is important that children still participate in recess unless the weather is extremely harsh.

Please be assured that we closely follow the district’s cold weather policy to ensure student safety. If the temperature or wind chill reaches a certain threshold, indoor recess will be held. For more details on the specific guidelines, we encourage you to review the district cold weather policy.

We recommend that children dress warmly and in layers, so they can comfortably enjoy the benefits of outdoor play.

Also, please remember to have your child bring their gym shoes with them on PE days if they wear their boots to school.
