Dear District 54 Community,
All District 54 schools and offices will be closed on Friday, January 23, 2026, due to the forecasted winter weather conditions. Tomorrow will be a traditional school closure, not an e-learning day.
As a reminder, under the District 54 School Board’s approved e-learning plan, the first two emergency days used each school year are traditional school closures. This is the first day District 54 has been closed this year. If District 54 has to cancel a third day, we would implement our e-learning plan and you would receive a communication explaining how to access e-learning.
District 54 makes every effort to keep our schools open, but circumstances beyond our control (such as Chicagoland winters) sometimes make it unsafe for our students to get to school safely. Our number one priority every day is keeping children safe.
