Halloween is upon us! We will be celebrating with an outdoor parade and classroom parties on Thursday, October 31st. In an effort to help families plan for the Halloween fun, please read through the information outlined below.

In choosing an appropriate costume for your child, please adhere to the following guidelines:

No costumes depicting violence (no fake blood, please)

  • No weapons or “look-alikes” of any kind (toy guns, plastic swords, etc.)
  • Keep make-up to a minimum (there is only a short time given to students to get into costumes, so save the best for trick-or-treating)
  • Be certain that your child can see through his/her mask
  • Students will have minimal support for putting on their own costumes.

Our Halloween parade will begin at 12:45 PM. The parade will begin out the front door, circle around the parking lot, park and blacktop before heading back inside. Family members can stand in front of the building or in the middle of the blacktop to take pictures, while the students parade around the perimeter. Class parties will be held immediately after the parade.

Halloween room parties will begin immediately following the parade and end by 2:00PM. If you are volunteering in a classroom, please sign in on the sheet in the office. Only those people that are on the volunteer list in the main office will be allowed to help at the party. Volunteers parking will be limited, please park on the street if there are no available spots.

Due to various allergies present in our classrooms, we will once again require that you refrain from sending any edible treats to school for your child to pass out to his/her classmates. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and we hope all our students have a fun and safe Halloween this year!

If your family does not celebrate Halloween and will be in attendance during the parade or class party please let their classroom teacher know in advance so that other arrangements can be made.
