Dirksen’s Penny Drive was a great success! As a school, we raised $1073.92 to support the District 54 Foundation, specifically the Food Pantry, which is currently serving 100 families per month on average. Our donation will help the pantry purchase the most needed items in bulk, to provide a more consistent offering to families.
We are also excited to share that 5th grade was our surprise winner of an extra recess, with the highest Penny Drive point value at 5996 points!
